Thought provoking question! How are we to incorporate any assistive technologies in our classrooms when we teach in a system with zero resources to devote to this end?

  1. This is a great question and the only way I can answer it is by saying that if we can afford to purchase the items ourselves then that is what we should do. There are some great inexpensive items we can use that works great and if others are not willing to help then we do ourselves.

  2. That is a great question. Our schools systems don't have the money to afford all these new devices we need to teach kids and we can't afford them out of out pocket. But if we think long and hard we might be able to come up with some other ways that would help students to learn.

  3. Kenric,
When I was in the classroom and received classroom fee money, I bought AT and other items like that. I felt it wouldn't be hard for me to get copy paper, ink, or other small inexpensive items. When you are in a classroom where your children sit on the rug and it does not looks good, you will do what is right for the children. I am aware that money is no longer there.
